Terms & Conditions – as at March 2024

Nicola Brandon, of PurplePawsPet Services, has achieved the AIM Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming and the Pet First Aid Instructor Certification. Certificates can be provided on request. 

1.Definitions

In these Conditions the following expressions shall have the following meanings:

• “The Company” means PurplePaws Pet Services
• “The Client” means the person, company or other legal entity identified as providing a request to PurplePaws Pet Services to supply Services.
• “Services” means the goods or services to be provided by PurplePaws Pet Services to the Client under the terms of the contract and “Services” shall be construed accordingly.
  • “Confirmation Date” means the date when all the following apply:
         – A request to supply Services has been received from the Client by PurplePaws Pet Services
         – PurplePaws Pet Services has confirmed to the Client that the class or workshop or other Services requested are available.
         – Payment has been received or alternative payment method agreed.
  • “Contract” means the contract between PurplePaws Pet Services and the Client under which the Services are to be supplied by PurplePaws Pet Services to the Client.
  • “Day” means every day of the week including Saturday, Sunday and statutory bank holidays.
  •  “Month” means a calendar month.  
  • “Week” means seven consecutive days.
  • “Intellectual Property” includes all training materials, notebooks, manuals, inventions, patent applications, granted patents, registered and unregistered designs, copyright works, trademarks and confidential information.

 GROOMING TERMS & CONDITIONS

During the grooming process all care is taken to ensure the health of your pet is considered. PurplePaws Pet Services are not liable for any pre-existing conditions and problems found during grooming. Any advice given regarding health problems should be checked out by a vet.

In the event of matted fur needing a clip down, the owner should be aware that irritation may occur from the shaving process. Due to matts sometimes being tight to the skin, the dog's skin may get caught because of the close proximity of working to the skin. The owner agrees that PurplePaws Pet Services shall not be held liable for any after grooming effects of matt clipping procedures or problems 'uncovered' on a badly matted neglected coat. The owner agrees to pay all costs for the grooming of the dog including de-matting , whether or not the groomer is able to complete the job.

PurplePaws Pet Services reserves the right to refuse to groom any pet for the safety of the groomer and the dog. The owner agrees to inform PurplePaws Pet Services prior to grooming if the dog has bitten or has aggressive tendancies. The owner understands they will be held liable for all bites caused by their dog.

Guarantee of service and any refunds , will only be considered if a customers’ dog has been groomed 8 weeks prior to PurplePaws Pet Services appointment . This is so that the dog‘s coat is in good condition and free from any knots or matts. Failure to maintain the coat could result in losing the shape of the breed.

Missed appointments will incur a fee of 50% of the standard grooming charge . This also applies to cancellations with less than 24 hours notice given.

Please try to make sure your dog has relieved itself prior to grooming.

PurplePawsPet Services holds Public Liability Insurance, Business Insurance and appropriate vehicle insurance for a modified van.

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR WEBSITE

These Terms and Conditions (“the Terms and Conditions”) govern your (“the User”) use of the PurplePawsPet Servcies (“Provider”) website located at the domain name www.purplepawspets.co.uk (“the Website”). By accessing and using the Website, the User agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out in this legal notice. The User may not access, display, use, download, and/or otherwise copy or distribute Content obtained on the website for marketing and other purposes without the consent of the Provider.

Electronic Communications

By using this Website or communicating with the Provider by electronic means, the user consents and acknowledges that any and all agreements, notices, disclosures, or any other communication satisfies any legal requirement, including but not limited to the requirement that such communications should be in writing.

Services

The Website www.purplepawspets.co.uk sells pet first aid training courses online. The use of any product or service bought from this Website is at the purchaser’s risk. The purchaser/ user indemnifies and holds the Provider harmless against any loss, injury or damages which may be sustained as a result of using the products sold on the Website. 

The private information required for executing the orders placed through the e-commerce facility, namely the User’s personal information and credit card details, delivery address and telephone numbers will be kept in the strictest confidence by the Provider and not sold or made known to third parties. Only the necessary information, that is the delivery address and contact phone number will be made known to third parties delivering the product. Credit card details are not kept by the Provider under any circumstances.

The Provider cannot be held responsible for security breaches occurring on the User’s electronic device (Personal Computer or other electronic device used to browse the Website), which may result due to the lack of adequate virus protection software or spyware that the User may inadvertently have installed on his/her device.

The Provider will supply all goods to the delivery company in good order. The Provider will not be held liable for the condition of goods arriving at the User’s chosen delivery address.

Refund and Return Policy

The provision of goods and services is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, the provider will refund the client in full within 30 days. The Provider reserves the right to cancel an order for which payment has already been received. Should the Provider exercise this right, the User will receive a full refund with no deductions. Updating of these Terms and Conditions

Provider reserves the rights to change, modify, add or remove from portions or the whole of these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes to these Terms and Conditions will become effective upon such changes being posted to this Website. It is the User’s obligation to periodically check these Terms and Conditions at the Website for changes or updates. The User’s continued use of this Website following the posting of changes or updates will be considered notice of the User’s acceptance to abide by and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including such changes or updates.

Availability 

Unless otherwise stated, the services featured on this website are only available within the United Kingdom, or in relation to postings from the United Kingdom. All advertising is intended solely for the United Kingdom market. You are solely responsible for evaluating the fitness for a particular purpose of any downloads, programs and text available through this site. Redistribution or republication of any part of this site or its content is prohibited, including such by framing or other similar or any other means, without the express written consent of the Company. The Company does not warrant that the service from this site will be uninterrupted, timely or error free, although it is provided to the best ability.
